Association of Festivals and Events Excellence Awards program. The festival was also named "One of Ten Great Places to Celebrate Food" by USA Today. More than 150,000 people will attend and enjoy this "Thirty Year Old Annual Event" with the flavor of slow-cooked pork barbecue prepared by festival s designated area restaurants and serving-up thousands of pounds of barbecue sandwiches in three large tents. An uptown area filled with arts and crafts vendors, street performers, festival food galore, and six different entertainment stages with an impressive line-up featuring a variety of music to please all festival attendees.
